I’ve been working in the office setting for approx. 10-12 years. And when I sit in my chair I like to find the highest desk I can, then hit the low rider chair, then roll up under the desk leaning back as far as I can. At, approx 135 degree angle.
You can imagine the looks and wisecracks I get - telling me about ergonomics and talking about my bad sitting habits. Well all I have to say is “BOO-YA BABY!” Read this post from the B-B-C and weep! :)
Sitting up straight is not the best position for office workers, a study has suggested.
Scottish and Canadian researchers used a new form of magnetic resonance imaging (MRI) to show it places an unnecessary strain on your back.
They told the Radiological Society of North America that the best position in which to sit at your desk is leaning slightly back, at about 135 degrees.
The just of the article says we need to get a little more active in our office life. Have you seen the treadmill desk…keeps you going about 2 mph while working. Now that is living!
