This is a newer version of the Dell updated in 2015.

The Dell has 2 USB sockets and a full sized HDMI output. Dell upgraded the RAM to 4 GB and 16GB eMMC SSD drive.  The Dell can run for about 6 hours between charges.

The display may have been lacking in the old model – but was upgraded to 11.6 HD LCD and the video camera is also HD.

The keyboard is good – keys feel solid and responsive and the trackpad is broad enough for large hands. Not a huge fan of the integrated buttons though, it is a bit hard to get used to a single button which rocks for left and right clicks.

The Dell’s build quality is acceptable given its target audience. It’s great to type on because of the palm rest being rubberized.

Dell added a full “recline” position for the new model – which makes it very portable for any position or desk configuration you will be using it in.

Dell Chromebook 11 Review:

dell-11-chromebook-02“I love my Dell Chromebook. I have one at work and wanted one at home to carry with me since it so light and easy to use. It is fast and lightweight, as well as well-made. Chromebooks are awesome for a simple, easy to use computer.”

“It feels very well made and solidly built. It’s utilitarian and no-nonsense” chromebook.

“Not a bad Chromebook. It’s diminutive, not much larger than a netbook, but has good battery life and ample performance to support ChromeOS.”
