Toshiba’s Chromebook 2 line has been nothing less than stunning – and now to hit us with a fantasic screen.  This is basically a light version of the MacBook Air – only $600 cheaper at $360.  The Toshiba Chromebooks book up in seconds and automatically updates itself – ready to go, everytime.

A Full HD 1080p, on a great 13.3″ screen.  If its not big enough – stream the screen to your TV with a Chromecast.  But seeing isn’t everything – the Chromebook 2 CB35-B3340 has sound from Skullcandy.

The battery life is not quite as good at the non-HD version coming in at 9 hours, but the 3 pound weight will have you taking it with you all the time.

Toshiba Chromebook 2 Full-HD Review:

“As someone who writes a lot, the keyboard is a joy to use. The keys have a nice little spring to them, and it feels natural and comfortable. The touchpad is very accurate, and I don’t need or even want to use a separate mouse.”

“Probably the best laptop I’ve ever owned. Great display and sound. It does run on Chrome’s OS so be warned if no prior research was done, that you cannot run any standalone software on this just chrome’s add-ons.”

“Bought this for school. Perfect little device for that reason. All of my papers can be written in Google Docs and access to them is fast with this instant boot device. Fits nicely in my backpack, reducing the weight compared to a laptop.”

  • It is very fast, and very easy to use. It has a great screen and battery life.
  • The screen on this thing is significantly better than my performance-oriented Thinkpad; it’s sharp, bright, and has good contrast.
  • The screen is bright and crystal clear. The browser is fast.
  • Practical and functional, I recommend it.  Long battery life – but no back-lit keyboard.
