DIY Local Search Engine

A received a forward from our Online group late last week (thank you Mary W and Sarah F) which was from a post on the Natural Search Blog talking about rolling your own local search engine.

…how using Eurekster’s Swickis on their blogs can be a cool feature enhancement, providing custom thematic search engines for their users.

It would be very interesting to see how this solution would scale – but it seems like a great way to get in touch with local search issues and appling a soluton that may be “good enough” – at least to justify a larger effort.

Great find!
